This was the thought that went through my mind when I woke up this morning… lol
We’re rolling with the punches, though, right? We’ve got this!
Yesterday I mentioned re-accessing my priorities. When I spoke to Dh he said, “you’re still going to ‘meditation’, right?”
See, twice a week I go to my beautiful soul sister’s studio. From the goodness of her heart, she conducts guided meditations which encourage us to breathe deeply. For me, this is especially beneficial given that I tend to be a shallow breather (unless I consciously focus on it, of course). This has actually led to some health problems for me.
Who would have known that it can cause high blood pressure and have the same effect on my blood that a smoker experiences, though I’ve never smoked a day in my life!?
So, I told Dh that I definitely plan to continue with those sessions. It’s part of my second priority… Self-Care.
My mama always reminded me, “you can’t take care of anyone else if you don’t take care of yourself first.”
Wise advice that took me some years to implement, but is definitely a priority for me these days because it’s SO true!
And, as we discussed not too long ago in my Everything’s Chilled post, I am remembering to “set the stage” each morning. And I am journaling, which is a great way to spill it all upon the page and process it.
Still, sometimes, we need to pay ourSelf more attention and focus.
